TONE-INTERVAL INTERFACE 協音指南
The following data are collected through perception tests conducted with native Cantonese speakers, who had to choose musical intervals (within the range of a major 9th, or 14 semi-tones) that they considered intelligible for each combination of tone succession.
團隊早前與粵語母語使用者進行聆聽實驗。實驗者需要為每個粵語聲調組合辨識協音音程(函蓋大九度,即十四個半音距離之內的所有音程)。以下為部分實驗數據。

m2 = minor 2nd; M2 = major 2nd; m3 = minor 3rd; M3 = major 3rd; P4 = perfect 4th; A4 = augmented 4th; d5 = diminished 5th;
P5 = Perfect 5th; m6 = minor 6th; M6 = major 6th; m7 = minor 7th; M7 = major 7th; P8 = Octave; m9 = minor 9th; M9 = major 9th
*Intelligible Intervals: intervals that over 75% of respondents considered intelligible for at least one of its occurrence in a diatonic scale.
**Ranking: intervals ranked in descending order according to percentage of respondents who find them intelligible, rounded to the nearest 0.01%.
